Before and After Care
Waxing
-
Please make sure that, in order to be waxed, you have at least 2-3 weeks of hair growth. The hair will need to be 1/4 - 1/2 inch of growth in order to be able to be waxed effectively.

-
Please refrain from using exfoliating serums at least 4-5 days before waxing (especially facial waxing!) This includes but is not limited to retinol or retin-A products, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, resorcinol, or prescription topical creams. If you are using any of these on a regular basis please let your technician know.

-
The more hydrated your skin is, the easier it is to wax! Make sure you drink your water! :)

-
To prevent a bacterial infection, make sure to avoid doing any activities that could create bacteria in the area that was waxed for at least 24 hours. This includes but is not limited to: swimming in a pool, hot tub, lake, or river, exercise, riding a bike, or sexual intercourse.

-
If you are getting a facial wax, make sure that you have not had any excessive exfoliation treatments in the last 7 days.

-
Before waxing, to help alleviate pain you are welcome to take ibuprofen or Tylenol 1 to 2 hours ahead of your service. You could also utilize a topical lidocain solution. Applying this 30 minutes ahead of the service can help reduce pain of the wax.

-
After your wax, using a topical after care cream is essential to keeping away ingrown hairs as well as calming the skin. We sell Finipil and "Get The Bump Outta Here" in house for your convenience.

-
Please look over the area that you have waxed after your service to make sure it is to your satisfactory! We strive for perfection and want you to be satisfied with your service! If you have any questions about your service please reach out and ask! We are happy to help!
